Terms & Conditions



The club rules are intended to ensure that members fish in a responsible manner respecting the fishery, the presence of other anglers and the welfare of fish. Irresponsible anglers can easily lose us our waters and generally give fellow anglers a bad press.

  • 1) All club members must be in possession of an Environment Agency Rod Licence and must abide by National and Regional E.A. rules/laws.
  • 2) Members shall always conduct themselves in a manner that will bring no discredit to the club or annoyance to fellow anglers.
  • 3) No anglers to reserve swims on any club water by leaving tackle or parking vehicles in vacant swims.
  • 4) Members should show due consideration towards other anglers fishing within a reasonable distance.
  • 5) Must not cast more than half way towards an angler occupying another swim.
  • 6) Keep off crops, close all gates and use only official access points to waters.
  • 7) Leave no litter, and ensure swims are left free from all rubbish, however caused.
  • 8) No illegal drugs are to be brought on, consumed or used on any of the club's waters.
  • 9) Members can take a dog with them when fishing at all venues (except the School Stretch due to the terms of our lease), it must be kept on a lead and controlled. Any    dog litter must be cleared from swims and pathways.
  • 10) Members may take a guest fishing once to Moggerhanger, and once to the School Stretch.
  • 11) All members are considered to be bailiffs and may request other anglers fishing club waters to produce their membership cards.
  • 13) Park only in areas set out in the club book for each venue.
  • 14) If a venue has a match booked, other anglers must clear their swim at least 2 hours before match is due to start.
  • 15) Lighting of fires is prohibited on all club waters. Unless permission from the venue fishery officer is given.
  • 16) The club holds the right to terminate the membership of any individual, or individuals, who are proven to be engaged in any activity that is deemed to undermine the financial assets, physical assets, reputation or wellbeing of the club.

NIGHT FISHING Secret Lake and Moggerhanger 

  • 17) Night fishing where applicable must be pre-booked & paid for in advance using the Clubmate portal 

CARP AND PIKE FISHING GUIDELINES 

  • 18) Anglers must have unhooking mat and suitable landing net.
  • 19) Nets to be dipped where applicable (Secret Lake).
  • 20) Number of rods and swims being fished shall be fished in a responsible manner (see Rule 2 & 4).
  • 21) Members noticing pollution on any of the club's waters are expected to notify any committee member of the club who will then arrange the appropriate action.
  • 22) No member shall take fish of any species from any of the clubs' waters for use as live or dead bait or for any other reason without the Fishery officer's permission. (It should be noted that, under Environ- ment Agency rules, live bait must not be brought from elsewhere for use on the clubs' waters).
  • 23) Junior members must not fish unsupervised, an adult must always accompany them
